Manx Meyers Buggy – Soft Roof Green 1968
If a single car were to symbolize California it would be this MANX Buggy. The history of this machine begins in 1964. The hippie movement begins and Bruce Meyers is part of it. The boy wears floral shirts, smokes funky stuff and spends his life at the beach. He is also gifted with his hands and makes surfboards or boats out of resin. One day he saw a boneless Jeep jumping from dunes to dunes. He decides to make his own machine, by adapting a resin body to a Beetle chassis and engine. The buggy was born, and its success soon spread to the whole world.
