In late January 2025, Ford and Triple Eight Race Engineering sent shockwaves through the motorsport world – both locally and internationally – when it was announced the two iconic brands would reunite in Supercars for the 2026 season.
The historic news was revealed at Ford’s 2025 season launch in the United States, with Triple Eight Race Engineering Managing Director Jamie Whincup appearing on stage alongside Ford’s Global Director of Racing, Mark Rushbrook, to officially confirm the renewed partnership.
Simultaneously, a Ford Mustang GT Gen3 Supercar was unveiled at Ford’s Australian headquarters, presented in the instantly recognisable Red Bull Ampol Racing colours to further celebrate Triple Eight’s return to the Blue Oval.
The special launch livery proudly featured Ford and Ford Performance branding, along with the names of Red Bull Ampol Racing’s star driver line-up – then-reigning Supercars Champion Will Brown and rising star Broc Feeney – displayed with the team’s iconic #88 race number.
This car marks a pivotal moment in the history of Ford, Triple Eight Race Engineering, and the Supercars Championship, and Authentic Collectables is proud to release a highly detailed scale replica for collectors.
This 1:43 scale model has been produced in high-quality sealed-body die-cast, featuring clear windows, a detailed racing cockpit, and undercarriage detailing unique to the Gen3 floorpan.
Comprised of approximately 65 individual metal and plastic parts and between 50 and 100 individual paint and decoration processes, this is a premium collector’s model tailored specifically for fans of the 1:43 scale.
The model will be released as an exclusive one-off limited edition and presented in a display case, with the car mounted on a white base plate featuring printed vehicle details. An individually numbered backing card is included and serves as the Certificate of Authenticity for the release.
Produced in a strictly limited edition of just 288 pieces worldwide, this model is a must-have for Ford and Triple Eight Race Engineering fans alike.
