A new era began in 2023 when Gen3 Supercars were introduced to race in the Supercars Championship.
A significant evolution from the previous Gen2 platform, the Gen3 rules implemented a raft of changes for the Ford Mustang GT Supercar in 2023, with a large focus on achieving a much closer visual connection to its road going counterpart, more controlled parts and less downforce to encourage greater racing.
Mark Winterbottom is a legend of Supercars racing and in 2023 the star driverentered his 5th season with Team 18 to race the striking yellow DEWALT backed Camaro.
At the Perth SuperSprint, Winterbottom celebrated his 600th championship race start and joined the ‘600 club’ with Craig Lowndes and Garth Tander – the only other drivers to accomplish the incredible milestone. To acknowledge the achievement, the team swapped out his regular season number #18 on the windows to #600 and also added a cool ‘600 Mark Winterbottom’ graphic to the rear quarter panels of the Camaro for the round.
